Windows Help and Support Center won't work

I have a Dell 4600 desktop with windows XP home service pack 1a.

When I run Help and support center to get info on my computer I get
"undefined". When I select network diagnostics under tools and select "scan
your system" , "my computer information" and "modems and network adapters"
fail due to " WMI Error".

Is there a driver that is missing that may be causing these errors.

Unfortunately my whole system crashed and I can't even startup under safe
mode. How can I re-install XP using my dell XP restore CD?

Go to Dell tech support for your specific machine and read the FAQ about
how to reinstall Windows. If the machine is still under warranty, call
Dell tech support first. You might also want to check that the hardware
is still good before reinstalling Windows since a software solution
like that on faulty hardware will be useless. Based on your apparent
skill level from your posts, hardware diagnosis should probably be done
by a local professional or Dell-ordered if the machine is still under
warranty.
