Hi,

I'm have quite a rather unusual error here. From time to
time, my machine reboots on its own and after I log in I
get a window saying that Windows has just recovered from
a serious error.

I check the system event log, and seen this as the latest
error:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: System Error
Event Category: (102)
Event ID: 1003
Date: 30/09/2003
Time: 10:54:19 PM
User: N/A
Computer: dev
Description:
Error code 000000d1, parameter1 00000004, parameter2
00000002, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 815793dc.

Any ideas what the problem may be?

Thanks in advance to any help.

Eddie

This is is kernel bugcheck.
You'll find more help looking up
"STOP 0xD1" for your specific error.
(You'll find the STOP code parameter in the Event Log
under the SaveDump entry by using the first parameter of
the error code.)
Resolution: Make sure you are running the latest service
pack for your OS. Try upgrading your drivers.
To find more about any specific driver or device causing
the problem, disable Restart on Crash to view the bugcheck
screen error in detail or record while driver file is
mentioned. (Start > Control Panel > System > [Avdanced] >
Startup and Recovery: {Settings} > System Failure: [ ]
uncheck "Automatically restart".)
For more information on STOP (bugcheck) errors see:
