The following description was in the event veiwer and I am looking for ways
to identify and correct the problem.

Recovery was performed successfully on PropertyStore in catalog c:\system
volume information\catalog.wci.

The following are the details.

Details
Product: Windows Operating System
Event ID: 4130
Source: Ci
Version: 5.2
Symbolic Name: MSG_CI_PROPSTORE_RECOVERY_COMPLETED
Message: Recovery was performed successfully on PropertyStore in catalog
%2.%1

Version: 5.0
Component: Application Event Log
Symbolic Name: MSG_CI_PROPSTORE_RECOVERY_COMPLETED
Message: Recovery was performed successfully on PropertyStore in catalog %1.

Explanation
A hardware failure or power interruption occurred and Indexing Service
automatically recovered the content index catalog and its property cache.

When you view the logged events in Event Viewer (double-click them in the
right-hand pane) in the upper right corner, third button down is a copy to
clipboard, then you can paste in the body of a reply message.

Please do so we can see all of the event detail.
