Windows Genuine Advantage Notification (KB905474) fails to install

I am running Windows XP Home edition SP2. I regularly update my system using
MicroSoft Update. Today I got notification of High-priority update "Windows
Genuine Advantage Notification (KB905474)". I told the system to Install
Updates, but I got the message that "Updates were unable to be successfully
installed", "The following updates were not installed: Windows Genuine
Advantage Notification (KB905474)". All other High-priority and Optional
updates have been installed successfully.

I am running an AMD 3500+ with 2 GB of memory and have 76GB of available
disk space. I am running IE 7.0.5346.5IC update version: Beta 2, Norton's
System Works 2006 (includes NAV) and Norton's Personal Firewall.

Be thankful! This particular update has been found to surreptitiously
phone home to Bill and is upsetting many innocent users.

Same here. XP Pro SP2, Intel Pentium M. It said the installation failed.
I tried multiple times. It's failed five times now.
