Hi Phil
There are plenty of threads re WGA etc - search in newusers and
basics - the subject has been argued for over a months.
Also tell MS direct of your dissatisfaction/complaints/problems here.

If you give them hell, this will happen:
Your user acount [sic] has been banned. Visit here for more info.
way Google won't archive post sent through non-MS servers, and MS has
total censorship control over the WGA forum.
You're right, of course. We're already looking into Linux.
Its hardly surprising that a near monopoly like Microsoft will use their
market share to bludgeon users into compliance with their wishes. And
considering that the vast majority of home users neither know or
understand all the implications Microsoft can safely assume that only a
minority are complaining.
One way that may give them cause to re-think is the prospect of their
actions stimulating enough people to complain to their regulatory
authorities about abuse of monopoly. Although it took 5 years of slowly
grinding wheels the EU eventually fined Microsoft some $600 million.
My thoughts are to raise this issue with such authorities, but rather
than look to a financial penalty or try to impose restrictions on
Microsoft, to instead try a different route - namely to encourage (and
regulate if necessary) computer suppliers installing OEM operating
systems by a monopoly supplier (e.g. Microsoft) to additionally install
at least one alternative (e.g. Linux).
