windows firewall

hi,
need help enabling windows firewall. i went to control panel to enable but
it tells me windows cannot enable the firewall because internet sharing
service ics is not running.
any help would be welcomed.

If you run Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware (Beta), you may receive this error.

Not necessarily. I do not have the MS Antispyware on my system yet I also
did receive the same error message. But in that message at the end it did
say would you like to enable ICS. had the option of selecting Yes or No

Start-Run type "services.msc"-ok

Now Scroll down the list until you see the Windows Firewall/Internet
Connection Sharing (ICS) service
Right click it and select properties.

Check the Startup type set to automatic-apply-restart.

Thanks but I do not have the problem. I just tried to point out to the OP
that when I updated I also received the same error but the error gave me the
option to enable the service with Yes or No which I did and it worked like a
charm.
