Windows Firewall

I have AVG as an av but I am wondering if the Windows Firewall have to be
activated (I think so but I have limited experience on a pc)? Because when I
try to activate I receive a message saying: Sorry the security center cannot
activate the Firewall, please activate manually. I did it ALL nothing works
I can't activate it. What should I do

You didn't mention the AVG version and is it a free or paid one, but best
for you to get the ZoneAlarm firewall it will sufficient and protective
against hackers and Viruses.

I have the free edition but the problem is that I can't get in the settings
for the firewall
It says: Because of an unidentified problem windows cannot give me
the settings for windows firewall
I would like to continue using the windows firewall.
