I just recently installed Windows XP Home Edition on my new computer, using
the same disk as I used on the old comp. Trouble is, for some reason Windows
firewall doesn't show up under Control Panel on the new comp. I switched to
classic view AND tried searching for the file, hidden folders and all. Still
nothing. For some reason Windows Firewall is nonexistant on my new rig. Any
ideas?

Windows Firewall was first released as a component of Windows XP SP2. Do you
have SP2?

Sorry, that's not correct. It was introduced with SP1.
