I just installed xp and everytime I use a cd it pops up
the windows file protection error saying: Files that are
required for windows to run properly have been replaced by
unreconized versions. To maintain system stablity,
windows must restore the original verisions of these
files. Insert Windows XP professional CD now. Is this a
common error? What wrong? How can I fix it? I have tried
to insert the disk and it does away but when I insert
another disk it comes up

Insert the XP disk, then click START|RUN and type "cmd" (no quotes) <enter>

Type "sfc /scannow" (no quotes) <enter> and let it complete the process.
