Windows File Protection

Hello,

I have been having a problem with the "Windows File
Protection" feature. It runs all the time replacing files
with the same number file that it claims is a bad file.
When ever the computer becomes idle this happen, the
computer processor then runs at 100% replacing hundreds to
thousand of window files an hour. I can not stop it, not
even by running "sfc /cancel". Anyone able to help, please
respond.

Having similar issues after re-installing w2k server over a corrupted
installation of itself. :(
