Sometimes when a program changes something, windows tells me that some
files have been changed and asks me to insert the CD so restore them.

I've copied all the contents from the cd to a folder (i386), isn't there
someway i can get it to load the files from there instead of fiddling
with the CD every time?

Hi,

Try changing the sourcepath and installation source paths under this
registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup

Thanks, that seems to work.
