Windows file order issue

Every time I go to save a file, run a file, open a
file..etc the files or folders are listed after which was
modified/opened/closed most recently not in order of name
which is what it used to be - how can I change this back -
it is quite annoying always having to go to details in
order to do this.

Thanks for your help in advance!

1. Only necessary to ask this question once ... not three separate
times as you have done so.
2. Click on the column header "name" to resort in name order. Click
again to resort in backwards name order.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Sorry - didn't realize it posted 3 times - actually that
it not the problem because when I go to open a file (in
windows media player for example) the files or folders
are only listed in order of when they were last accessed -
the columns for "name", "size"...etc do not show, so I
have to go to the view menu to change it to details in
order to get the columns and sort the files/folders by
name, date..etc - that is the issue, before it would
automatically list everything by name and the columns
were available.
