Windows Explorer

When I open Windows Explorer, I find that the first entry
in the left (folders) pane is the expanded My Documents
folder. I seldom need to view anything in the My
Documents folder, so this doesn't suit me. I prefer the
98 style, where the default was the C drive.

So I discovered that I can delete the My Folders listing
by right clicking and choosing delete. The warning
message says that this doesn't delete the folder(s), just
the desktop icon and I can restore it any time I want.

Great!

However, next time I open Windows Explorer, there is the
expanded My Documents again.

Is there a way I can permanently prevent My Documents from
occupying the prime spot in the folders pane?

Hi John,

Change the Windows explorer parameter to "explorer /e, c:"
Or, type the above in RUN box.
