Hi
Can anyone help regarding "Windows Explorer" when called up from the
keyboard shortcut - it flashes on and off ...

I have the same problem with the flashing Windows Explorer. It was on my
desktop and when I moved some files over to my laptop, the same problem
started on it, too. It sounds like a virus but I have run my virus programs
and get no change. Any suggestions?
