when I click 'START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>WINDOWS EXPLORER' I go to 'MY
DOCUMENTS'. Has my pointer been corrupted? A folder moved? How do I correct
it? Any help would be appreciated.

That's what it normally opens to. What do you want - My computer maybe?
If so click the explorer icon drag to the desktop and let go. It will
make a copy. Then right click the icon, choose properties and paste
this in the target box:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n,/e,/select,c:\

This will open to My Computer.
