Whenever navigating through My Documents or My Computer I get the message:
"Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close." Three
choices are available: 'Debug,' 'send report' or 'don't send.' 'Debug'
brings up a second message: "Dr Watson Postmortem debugger has encountered a
problem and needs to close." 'Don't send' causes the open window to close
and returns to the desktop. This happens whether I choose to open My Docs or
My Computer as a link or as a menu.

Wow. Really strange. I've seen similar things with corrupted file
associations in the past, but this took AAAGES to track down. This is
probably one of those problems where you might want to ask yourself if
it's going to be faster to just reinstall than to figure out.
