windows explorer won't open, help!!!!!!

Hi,
I recently installed McAfee Internet security suite,
since then i have been unable to open IE6 (despite
installing it several times) and i can open nothing with
windows explorer from the desktop or start menu (my comp,
control panels etc) so i can't even uninstall mcafee.

help!

Go to McAfee support site and see if they can help. You
must have your security settings set wrong...Good luck.
 
Boot up in safe mode and uninstall McAfee. Then check
the McAfee support site for help.
 
I tried doing that but i can't uninstall mcafee because
it says it's in safe mode!!! but at least windows
explorer opens in safe mode (which makes it look like it
is a fault with mcafee)
