Windows Explorer - Thumbnails not appearing for *.jpg files - WIN98 WIN2000

Hi,

My digital camera downloades image files with .jpg extension. These files do not show with a thumbnail in windows explorer. Extension .jpeg (same file type as .jpg) however, does show up in windows explorer. Thi holds ture for both my machines, one running WIN98 and other running WIN2000.

Finding managing the files very difficult because of this. Anyone who can help
