Recently, an odd condition seems to have begun to occur
with my PC running XP Home. If I open Windows Explorer and
start navigating through folders, especially when the
folders are set for Thumbnail view, Explorer will
spontaneously close, returning me to the desktop or
whatever other app I had on top at that time. At first it
only did this once or twice, but now it does it so often
that Windows Explorer is virtually worthless to use. I
also discovered yesterday as I attempted to build a DVD
project using Roxio Media Creator 7, that when that program
invokes a Windows Explorer style window allowing me to
select content to add to a project, the window will just
barely form before it and the associated Roxio app
spontaneously close. I have wiped the machine, reinstalled
WIN XP and all of my apps, and it still does the very same
thing. This makes it very difficult to do anything on the
machine that involves selecting, accesing, or moving files.
Someone please help!
