Windows Explorer slow to launch

Hello,

I have 3 desktop PCs running Windows XP Pro. and on two of them, Windows
Explorer has become very slow to launch. When double clicked, nothing
happens, until a minute or so when Windows Explorer finally appears. During
this wait time, the system is not at all busy and I can launch other
programs right away and everything else runs reliably and just as expected.

I've scanned for spyware, viruses, and looked at the startup registry keys
to see if there is anything wrong but have found nothing. All updates are
up to date, etc.

Please advise. Thank you.
