Hello. When using Windows Explorer and attempting to search folders, there
is no longer a "Browse" option availble for me to select the starting folder
level for my search. I am presented only with a "Look in:" drop down list of
My Documents, My Pictures, My Computer or Desktop. Is there something I am
missing? HELP! Thanks.

THE SOLUTION:

Turn off that annoying Search Companion.. It takes up alot of CPU bandwith..

1.Start the Registry Editor
2.Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \
3.CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ CabinetState \
4.Right-click an empty space in the right pane and select New > String Value
5.Name the new value Use Search Asst
6.Double-click this new value, and enter no as it's Value data
7.Close the registry editor
