Windows Explorer not responding

Hi,
I have recently encountered a problem with deleting files/folders - when I
attempt the delete, Explorer just hangs and does nothing. Task Manager says
it is "Not Responding" - I can happily end the task, and Explorer then
starts up again, but I can't remove the file/folder I'm trying to get rid
of.
Any ideas, anyone?

Well I finally found out what was causing this & fixed it. This link

pointed me to the ShellExView utility, which enabled me to disable context
menu extensions one by one until the problem went away. Turns out it was
related to Eraser (http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/), which I have now
uninstalled.
