Hi,
I am not able to open Windows Explorer from my Windows
2000 Prof. (SP4) PC. When I try to open it, nothing
happens. I cannot see the drives even by double
clicking "My computer" on the desktop. I tried changing
my profile, but still I could not see any difference.
Please help.
Thanks,
Reema.

Hi Reema,

Since the integration of Internet Explorer into the browser we are more
than likely experiencing a DLL
that has become unregistered along the way.
This is how you can re-register these components responsible for this
function in Explorer.
Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer must be closed before doing this.

If you open a DOS window (CMD at the "run line" )
1. type...... regsvr32 shdocvw.dll (enter)
2. then type...... regsvr32 browseui.dll (enter)
3. then type...... regsvr32 urlmon.dll (enter)
4. then type...... regsvr32 url.dll (enter)
5. then type...... regsvr32 mshtml.dll (enter)
