Hi all
Windows Explorer looping - ie resets, generates an error report, on clicking
'don't send', resets etc.

Occurence began after upgrading the latest Microsoft security patches from
Oct 2005. Removal of the security patches does not fix the Win Explorer
from rebooting.

System is Windows XP Home.

Error report:
Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Action required:
Boot to safe mode with system restore disabled, clean Temporary Internet
Files, Cookies, History Files.

Also another error report sometimes comes up, but not so often - Dr Watson
Postmortem debugger - needs to close.

Can anyone help here please?

The things that I would look at:-

1. The CPU fan to make sure it is working
2. The power supply fan to make sure it is working.
3. Run a virus scan
4. Run a malware scan.

Suggest you check the above and if you still have the problem post back with
details of the error report.

Dick
