Windows Explorer has stopped working erro clicking on a JPG

Clicking on a Jpeg file to open it in "Windows Photo Gallery" causes the
following error "Windows Explorer has stopped working" it then goes
checking for a solution and restarting explorer...

Any ideas?
 
Same issue if I open Windows Photo Gallery and then double click on a JPG!!!

I'm beginning to thing XP is the way to go! :( what a waste of money Vista
is turning into! so nearly good but...
 
Anyone know a fix for Vista ?
