Windows Explorer folder list gray

When I open windows explorer on my 2000 server I can not
view the folder list, it is gray. has anyone seen this
before? If so, how can I fix this? thanks

My Win2K system did not see any benefit from this registry
change either.
the prior value was %systemroot%\system32\browseui.dll
I changed oer the tech note to reference shdocvw.dll.
and there was no improvement.
still seeing a grey panel for all folders.

I tried it and reported , prematurely, that it did not
resolve my problem.

After re-booting the 'All Folders' pane was visible again.

had to change existing content from browseui.dll to
shdocvw.dll

Important to re-boot to make the change actually impact
the presentation of Windows Explorer.
