windows explorer file question

My D drive has a lot of folders with strange names.
All letters and numbers.
Some contain NetFramework .ini files.

they look like they may have been left over from 'installs' or 'updates'.

an example D:\ec0139f436dbb19fc40d811a0e

some are quite large
can I dump them?

This is the drive with the largest free space, most likely.
All letters and numbers.
Some contain NetFramework .ini files.

Something was not okay since these folders will be removed automatically,
usually.
some are quite large
can I dump them?

Reboot to make sure that these folders are not in use due to running
installations. Then you can delete these folders safely.
