There are two seemingly unrelated problems here. 1a) when you open Windows
Explorer to browse your drives and folders, it takes 30 seconds to open and
show a the "directory" of your drive. 1b) when you're in Word for example
and want to save your work, when you try to go to another folder besides "My
Documents", it takes 30 seconds to open the drive directory so you can select
a different folder.
2) when you open Internet Explorer, and want to type in a web address, you
MUST include the "http:\\". Normally you can simply enter "www.aabbcc.com"
but while having this problem, you must enter the "http:\\" or nothing
happens.
I experienced this problem once before, and after a couple of weeks, it just
fixed itself. But for no reason that I can see, it has started happening
again.
I'm stumped.
