windows explorer.exe&error?

... for unknown reason windows explorer.exe (XP sp2) gives me an error
signature from time to time, often when eject roms, then all icons from
desktop are gone for short time .. there are no spyware and viruses
(bitdefender says that from safe mode) ... is there anything I can do? ...

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the CD-Rom device, Action
menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers again
automatically.
