Windows Explorer Crashes

When you open My Computer or Windows Explorer and then
try to open the My Network Places folder or the Shared
Documents folder, My Computer or Windows Explorer may
unexpectedly quit.

This problem is described on the microsoft website, but
they dodn't have fix posted there and state that I will
have to contact Microsoft to obtain the Hotfix. Then they
go on to say that I may have to pay a support fee to
obtain the hotfix.

No. You must contact MS as the article said. You will not have to pay
for the hotfix.
