This has been happening for several months now. When I'm
using Windows Explorer to handle files on my hard drives,
it will-- especially with certain directories-- slow the
system down until it has apparently frozen up. When I've
brought up the system manager to end the Explorer task, I
find that that instance of Explorer is now taking up
something like 90% of my system's CPU cycles.
I've searched on the Web for assistance, but I've been
unable to find anything like a real solution. This is a
serious problem, and it may have been fixed by a patch.
Could someone please tell me how to fix this problem? I
have some very important stuff in those directories, but I
can't even move them to other locations without risking a
severe system problem.
