Windows Explorer Backgrounds

Is there any way to change the background on the right side of an individual
Windows Explorer page??

I am running Windows XP (new system).

My old system was on Win98 and my system at work is on Win2K. With both of
these OS, I could change the background image for individual folders within
Windows Explorer by using the "Customize this folder" option.

With WinXP when you try and "Customize This Folder" all you are allowed to
do is select a picture for the folder icon that is viewable on the next
level up.

Appreciate any advice or suggestion

XP works like 98/2000. However the dialog has been removed. The easy way is to install this program
http://www.clonesoft.com/shareware/index.htm

These settings are stored in a text file called desktop.ini in the folder customised. You can copy from 98/2000 to XP but view them first and remove extra settings.

David -
Appreciate the assist. I will try the shareware you recommended and let
everyone know how it worked.

One other thing, I thought this was a Microsoft newsgroup to assist people,
not a political forum. Think it is inappropriate for you to add political
links in your responses. Hope you pull them off.

That's the point about sigs. You can say what you want in them.

First off your recommended program worked fine. It was just what I was
looking for. Thanks.

Regarding the sigs. I am new to using internet forums, so am not aware of
all the acceptable protocols and rules. I understand your point about them
being something where you can put what you want. When I clicked on them, I
was expecting more info on things related to Windows XP not a totally
different topic. I know now.

Thanks again for the assist.
