Windows Explorer and Shift-Right-Click

Michael Kolbe

In all previous versions of Windows explorer I could Shift-
right-click on a file and "Open With..." would appear in
the context menu. In Windows 2000Pro, Shift-right-click
doesn't cause "Open With" to appear. Also, Open With DOES
NOT appear on the File menu if the file type is already
associated with a progam. There are times (lots of them)
when I want to open a file with ANOTHER program and Shift-
right-click was the way (since Win 95). Any Ideas???

TIA - Michael

The answer is covered in KB 266795. Caused by
Accessibility FilterKeys setting (even though Use
FilterKeys NOT checked)

Oh Well - Thanks anyway.

Shouldn't need the the "shift key", just right-click. "Shift" is one of
those "DOS Windows" features.
