windows Explorer address bar

Please help...

I am unable to type, or completly type, in the address bar
in windows Explorer. what happens is similar to the
function in the Recycle Bin except it keeps the few
characters typed instead of inserting "recycle bin"

Can't find any info on this except for the recycle bin
info in the MS knowledgebase

please help if you can

scan for spyware with adaware and spybot search and destroy

scan for viruses with housecall

test the problem in safe mode,if it doesnt occur use clean boot tshooting to resolve the issue

test a new user account.

Done all that. Happens under all users, and I am a new
user. Have removed all spyware. Haven't done safe mode,
will try. But, from experience, I suspect it won't help.
I've done all the basic to try and figure it out. The main
issue is I don't have the time to sit and sweat over this
system when I have 30 servers and 200 clients to maintain
also. I'm a netadmin for quite a few years now and avid
windows user for years before. Also remember, this DOES
NOT happen in INTERNET EXPLORER, only EXPLORER. Also, it
is interesting that the behavior is almost exactly like
the default behavior of the recycle bin?
The main reason I am posting this is the hope someone has
experienced this before. Thanks for your time and the
input. Let me know if you find anything.
