Are these specialized USB devices that require something beyond WinXP's
generic USB support? Have you consult the manufacturer for any special
installation instructions?

You didn't answer my questions. You need to provide pertinent
information if you want us to truly be able to offered effective help,
rather than wild guesses.

What change (new hardware, updates, software installations) was made
immediately prior to the devices' having stopped working? Have you
tried using a restore point to return to that time period?

Check the cabling. Is this a desktop or laptop?

If it's a desktop, is this a wireless keyboard/mouse set? If so, check the
batteries.

I am having the same problem with my computer, it is a Dell 9100 series. I
had just received an upgrade from Dell, i downloaded it, all was fine. The
download was for Dell computer updates etc. One of the updates that it said
my comp. needed was a processor upgrade, so i downloaded it. It got about
half way through installing, and a blue screen appeared saying Windows had to
shut down and be restarted, so i did that. Now when the computer boots up,
the keyboard and mouse work fine until windows begins to load, then they
don't work. It is driving my crazy trying to fix. I have some computer
knowledge, but for the most part am very much an amateur with them!! PLEASE
HELP ME!!!!!!
