windows documents shown as wordpad

Hi,

Control Panel/Folder Options/File Types tab, locate .doc, then change the
icon.

Do you have MS Word installed? If so, right-click on a *.doc file and
choose Open With - Always Open and reassociated it with MS Word. Ifyou
don't have MS Word installed, then you need it or another word
processing program that can read *.doc files such as OpenOffice Writer.
