windows desktop search tray admin.

I have been getting this annoying message which states " windows desktop
search tray admin has encountered a problem and needs to close" Can any one
help me on this one please?

Try reinstalling MSN Search Toolbar
download from http://toolbar.msn.com/desktop/results.aspx?FORM=PCHP
or uninstall it all together from add/remove programs

Thankyou. But when I tried to run the new toolbar proga message came up
"could not remove old version of toolbar search" when I tried to remove it
from add/remove programmes the message said it could not open the package and
to contact the vendor of the programme. Any more ideas?

select Run from the Start Menu, type msconfig, click startup tab and uncheck
"Windows desktop Search" or "windowsearch.exe". reboot the pc then try the
installation again - you should be able to force an install over the top of
the current one. Try the uninstall after that.
