I've only installed 8.01 on one machine so far, and I didn't see that
happen.

One-Care incorporates Windows Defender's technology, so I wouldn't worry
about this--as long as OneCare is green, you have the same level of
protection against spyware that you would have with Windows Defender.

I installed Adobe reader 8.01 this morning and it uninstalled defender .exe
file. Why did this happen? Ialso cannot reinstall defender unless I remove
One-Care first.

Hi Rire dog,

Adobe programs does sometime strange things, but it is One-Care that did
the job. ;)
And yes Defender engine is running in One-care, so the Standalone
version of WD can you reinstall if One-care is gone.
