windows defender view history

Im new to windows defender and each time i click on history to view it its
blank . I just gave my comptrer a full scan and then again looked in history
and it shows nothing, ive had it for a week now and it is still empty.Any
help?

Thanks it was very helpful, I notice several people saying that WD doesnt
update definitions automatically. Should i be concerned as new viruses are
always a threat, does microsoft have a fix for this if not what can i do to
insure a new virus doesnt sneak in ty :0)

Hi Janet,

Do you have automatic updates turned on--for Windows?

Defender Beta2 is updated via Automatic/Windows/Microsoft Update. You can
configure Automatic Updates for "Notify Only" (nothing is downloaded or
installed without your OK).

I suggest you set Automatic Updates to: Download updates for me, but let
me choose when to install them. You can check/change these settings from
the Automatic Updates tab from the System control panel ªpplet
