Windows Defender update problem

Latest update is stuck in an endless loop - install - oops, install again.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Know how to clear this please?

Getting the same here Tony! Not just you!
 
The only problem I have had is it found one spyware that it failed to
remove even after I booted up in safe mode and reran the scan. I
reported the problem to Microsoft.
