Windows Defender beta 2

I have downloaded and saved that file but when I open it and get through to
the install page it just sits there and does nothing. I am running windows
XP SP2 with Media Center 2005. Has anyone else had similar problems and
found a solution?

I'm not sure this will help, but it won't hurt to try.

At a cmd prompt, type net start "windows installer

and hit enter. (no need for the other quote mark!)
then retry the install.
