Windows Critical Update

I am trying to get a Windows Critical Update. When I get
to this page, it's supposed to check for available updates
for my machine. Instead it does nothing and then IE
crashes.

Suggestions?

Try the troubleshooter at the Windows Update site [ http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com ]. In the left pane there is a "help and support" link. From there navigate to the troubleshooter. Hopefully it will help you to figure out what is happening.
