Windows close out when I click on some links, not all.

When I click on certain link any and all windows I have open closes out
automatically. I have Windows XP. Does any one know how to fix this? or what
causes this?
 
I have all ready did the following:

*a full system scan in safe mode and everything looked fine,
*del. temp internet files,
*cleared history,
*del. cookies,
*microsoft update,
*anit-virus is up to date.
