Windows cannot find...

I had a hard crash and now when I attempt to open IE6.. it
will not open the window and gives me an Win cannot find
error for file //oca.microsoft.com/resredir.asp...(and a
lot of variables..too long to type).. I couldn't find any
like postings on microsoft or the newsgroup. Any thoughts
on correcting? I did try to download ie6setup.exe and
ran..but that did not seem to fix.
..
 
When I attempted a reinstall.. I get a "software you are
installing has not passed Window's Logo testing to verify
it's compatability with XP..Software will not be
installed.." and does not complete installation.

Any thoughts?
