I cannot run regedit on one of our LAN desktops. I tried searching for it and
had no results for the executable. I don't have the Windows XP disc. Can I
copy this program from another desktop and use that?

Regedit.Exe should reside in the \Windows folder. It is a Windows
File Protected file and even if renamed/deleted or moved SFC will
immediately replace it from one of it's source points. Perhaps your
search wasn't a 100% of system wide search. It's also possible the
Path variable for the machine somehow doesn't contain the proper
system folders.

Yes you can copy the executable from one machine to another.

Yes.

Hi there,

I did a full system scan. The only files that show up are the regedit help &
and the compiled html help files. Have no idea what happened to the
executable.

Thx!
