Windows cannot find download file

When trying to download a file from a URL sit the
following message appears: Windows cannot
find: "C:\Documents and settings\Temporary Internet
files\content.IE5\URIVUPA3\winsockfix[1].zip'" Make sure
you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
winsockfix[1].zip is the file I am trying to download to
the desktop.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

Create a folder on your hard drive called "downloads". Direct all your
downloads to that folder and you will know where to find them. It is not a
good idea to place "any" files on your desktop, in any case. Place links on
your desktop that refer to the actual files that are stored elsewhere.

Sounds like the file is not named correctly on their server
or you typed the wrong commands and the computer is trying
to download the file from itself. This sounds like a path
ON your computer "C:\Documents and settings\Temporary
Internet
| files\content.IE5\URIVUPA3" not the file host.

Hi Ron,

Close Internet Explorer.

Control Panel/Internet Options, try clearing Temporary Internet Files by
clicking the "delete files" button. Then retry.
