After repair XP setup the boot drive letter to be E: All
of my programs still are looking for the drive path of
C:. When i go into Disk management to try to change the
drive letter from e to c I get an error message windows
cannot change the drive letter of the boot drive.
Question is there a way to change the drive letter from e
to c or to change the path of everthing from c to e?

You must change this drive letter in registry and reboot.

Open registry editor, search for
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\MountedDevices and change \DosDevices\E: to
\DosDevices\C:. If you already have \DosDevices\C: key, change it to any
other free letter.
