Windows Camera and Fax Viewer

Hi there. Up until today.... I have been able to plug my Olympus Digital
Camera D-520 via USB cable and this program would automatically dectect and
let me download my pics onto my hard drive. I plugged it in today and the
program doesn't come up. I have Win XP Home Edition on a laptop. Also I
noticed that in my program list, my link to the Windows Picture and Fax
Viewer is now gone and I have no way to bring it up. I looked at the file
extensions under file types and my .jpg and .jpeg files are still associated
with this program as default and if I click on a picture, the program comes
up but I can't figure out why the camera isn't being read like normal. I
tried to blow out the USB drivers in device manager to see if those were
corrupted but that didn't change anything. I tried a system restore back to a
different day and that didn't change anything. Any ideas

I answered my own problem. After I wrote this and closed out, I noticed an
icon down in the corner for "safely removing hardware". When I clicked on it,
it showed a USB mass storage device. I right clicked on it and clicked on
properties. It showed being linked to my camera. I removed it from here, it
didn't show up in device manager when I looked previously. It reinstalled
itself and worked fine. It was the scanner and camera wizard that I was
looking for....NOT windows picture and fax viewer..my bad!
