Windows Boot Up

I am running Windows XP HE and have suddenly noticed when
the Windows XP load screen comes up it now takes about 40
seconds to get to the Welcome screen. Anyone else have
this...any solutions? I have also gone to msconfig and
the start up tab and made changes there. Still 30-40
seconds.
