Windows Antipyware vs.Windows Defender

When I used the anit-spyware, an icon for it always showed up inb the system
try. With defender, there is no icon that shows up. Is there any way to add
it?

Since mpdooley is posting the same thing in multiple threads, I think I will
do the same:-

I actually disagree to this. The operating system protecting itself from
invasion should be handled quietly and discreetly behind the scenes and
should only reveal its presence when there is a problem... as per Beta 2.

Instead of treating Windows Defender as just another anti-spyware
application, try thinking of it as an operating system enhancement that is
built into Windows (as per Vista).

It can protect quietly behind the scenes with its shields and cause no
problems. But when a scan is actually running and using considerable system
resources, there should be some notification in the system tray. IMHO.
